Biography

Salvadò Scotto writes poetry in traditional forms: paghjelle and songs of many kinds — love songs, humorous songs, celebrations of nature and of the events of life.

His writing stays close to the Corsican language and its musicality: the verse is made to be spoken, and above all to be sung.

He began learning to sing at the Natale Luciani Singing School around the 1980s, then continued with Antonu Tramini at the singing school of La Gravona and Les Prunelli in the 1990s.

Since 2018 he has worked closely with Rinatu Coti.

An improviser and singer, he sings with the Sainte-Croix Brotherhood of Cuttoli-Cortecchiato. He is also a guitarist and composer.

He is a member of the Filu d'Amparera association in Ajaccio, and a member of SACEM.
